Animal Welfare League has been providing expert care to surrendered, neglected and abandoned animals across NSW for over 60 years. As part of their rehoming philosophy they are committed to achieving zero euthanasia of healthy and treatable cats and dogs.

Predominately via our partner charities. Once a registered charity partners with Halo, we use one of the Halo branded loadable debit cards which the

charity holds. When a Halo Angel or Business Angel provides funds through the app, we immediately transfer those funds to the charity’s Halo debit card

which the charity holds. This gives charities faster access to urgently needed funding for those URGENT goods or services.

Yes – we are committed to complete transparency. Before you submit your donation, the app shows you an exact breakdown of Halo’s administration fees (lower than most registered charities) and what gets to the person in need.
We are an externally audited not-for-profit and aim to keep our fees as low as possible. But we do need some support to facilitate donations and maintain app functionality. Because we’ve replaced large scale fundraising with direct connection via an app, a higher percentage of your donation can go where it’s needed most.

We’re an app. We don’t need as much behind-the-scenes work as larger charities – The aim of Halo is to help make charities lives simpler and easier via the use of our Mobile technology helping to transact those smaller targeted donations which may not have been possible previously without the Halo App and its infrastructure.

Yes. Halo is externally audited by Hall Chadwick for full transparency of operational costs and will publish audits online as part of going compliance obligations which all Government registered charities must comply.
